With an ageing population we are treating an increasing number of elderly patients with chemotherapy.
Frailty is known to be associated with poor chemotherapy tolerance and increased hospital admissions.
This prospective multi centre project aims to describe the needs of this under-represented population, collecting data to assess validity and feasibility of using frailty scoring systems ahead of commencing chemotherapy in a NHS population. This will lead to improved patient care and could be practice changing across the UK.
